About

Susan Hofland

Having grown up in West Michigan, I have a great love for this area, and more importantly, a great love for the people here. One of the things that is really important to me and my family, is cultural diversity. The diversity here, has allowed me to develop meaningful relationships with so many different people. I believe we have so much to learn from one another.

I have been married to my husband Chris, for over 20- adventurous years. God has blessed us with 6 children both biological and adopted. Besides spending time with my family, I enjoy traveling, sporting events and the beach.

I use a combination of therapeutic models, as well as a faith-based approach.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Taylor University, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. I am a member of the American Counseling Association.

It is very important to me that you feel safe in our counseling relationship. You can be assured that your information will be kept confidential except in certain cases, which are articulated in your HIPPA brochure.

Counseling is a relational growth process that gives you space to explore, learn new things, and heal with someone walking beside you. Sometimes this process encourages you to deal your past, current situation, and desires for the future.
